Weiss Technik played a critical role in the testing of the F-35 Lightning jet at the McKinley Climatic Laboratory at Eglin AFB in Florida. The large test chamber was used to condition the aircraft to extreme solar exposure. Weiss Technik designed, engineered and built several specialized container systems that stored sensitive electronic control components and wiring that are used in the solar lighting system for the testing. The containers shown throughout the video are used to keep the electronic components at a constant temperature and protect them from the solar exposure and damage.
